John Toone's Missionary Journal is On-Line

I have posted the transcription of the Missionary Journal of John Toone that was done by Michelle Richins McKnight under the direction of the John Toone Family Organization in June 1997. The original journal is in the Church Archives.

This journal covers his mission in England from 8 May 1854 - 13 September 1856.

There are two versions:

A high resolution 300 dpi version suitable for printing (112MB):

and a 72 dpi version for screen viewing (33MB):

Julia! thanks so much for posting these inspiring and informational articles. I married into the Toone Family and have recently made a themed wall in my home "the Price they Paid" including pictures of the Nauvoo temple, Joseph and Emma, Sunstone replicas, Handcart pioneer painting, my families Nauvoo temple records from 1845. I had left a spot for a picture of John Toone because of the wonderful legacy he has also left us. Your photo from the DUP collection will be easy to copy and make look nice for my wall. Thank you again for sharing all this information on a blog and for including the video of Kayson playing the cello as I live in California and was not able to make the concert. Did anyone videotape the concert?
With appreciation,
Connie Webb
